Manager, Energy Engineer & Project Manager,

Helen ReeveSince joining Ameresco Canada in 1995, Ms. Reeve has worked as a Technical Trainer, Energy Engineer, Manager of the Energy Engineering department at Ameresco, and as a Project Manager. As an energy engineer, Helen conducts detailed facility energy audits in the commercial, municipal and institutional sectors; she carries out detailed energy analyses and identifies potential energy-saving measures for development of investment grade feasibility studies (IGFS). She is responsible for the engineering calculations and cost estimates relating to IGFS measures. She has extensive experience in energy analysis for the monitoring and verification (M&V) of project savings for performance contracts, employing techniques defined in the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP) and ASHRAE Guidelines.

As a project manager, Helen has managed the implementation of performance contracts upward of $60 million in the commercial and municipal sectors. She is responsible for scope and costing, tendering, construction management, planning, financial reporting, client liaison, invoicing, etc. through to project closure.

As manager of the Energy Engineering Department, Helen has been responsible for management of energy engineering staff engaged primarily in M&V activities and incentive funding applications. She is responsible for corporate M&V reporting across all Canadian Ameresco offices.

As a technical trainer, Helen assisted in developing needs-driven training workshops on HVAC principles, building automation system operation and energy management using adult education principles. She facilitated workshops for groups of 1 to 30 building operations personnel, maintenance and engineering staff.
